Volunteer Launch + Connecting with Communities Skillshare

We have a historic opportunity to put the first Palestinian-Australian woman into parliament - and if everyone who voted Greens at the 2024 State election voted for Remah, we would need less than a 3% swing to do it...

...which is a smaller swing than each of the Greens state campaigns within Moreton already achieved in the last 6 months!

We can win Moreton and make history - but we need you to get us over the line over the next 6 months. Whether this is your first campaign or you've had years of experience, this free, half-day skillshare will level up your ability to genuinely connect with people in the community, understand and communicate about issues and politics, and help us build a powerful grassroots coalition for long-lasting change.

This volunteer launch, training and skillshare will include...

  • Speeches from inspiring speakers including Remah!
  • 10 - 11am Introduction to our Vision for and brand-new Strategy to Win Moreton
  • 11.15 - 11.45am Learn about our Five Volunteer Working Groups to win Moreton where you fit best, and what we have coming up to get involved with
  • 11.45 - 12pm Group photo, and filming a short group video to promote the Rally and March for International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (optional participation)
  • 12 - 1pm Working Group Skillshare - mini workshop in one of our volunteer five working groups
  • 1 - 2pm Lunch together

...plus plenty of opportunities to connect with other volunteers and supporters.

We acknowledge the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples as the traditional custodians and rightful owners of the lands on which we gather. Sovereignty over this place has never been ceded, and restitution for historical and ongoing colonial occupation has yet to be realised. Wherever we are on this continent, it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Will you come?
