Panel w/ Larissa Waters - Creating Resilient Communities: Climate Impacts, Community Solutions

Climate change is unfortunately here and is already having a direct impact on local residents. With localised flooding issues and more hot days, we’re keen to hear about local environmental issues that matter to you, and share some of our solutions to mitigate the impacts.

Facilitated by Remah Naji, Palestinian community organiser and Greens candidate for Moreton, panelists will include:

- Larissa Waters - Senator for Queensland

- Dr Natalie Osborne - Senior Lecturer on Urban and Environmental Planning, Griffith University

Others to be announced soon.

There will be an opportunity for connecting with one another, community-building, and light refreshments towards the end of the event.

We acknowledge the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples as the traditional custodians and rightful owners of the lands on which we gather. Sovereignty over this place has never been ceded, and restitution for historical and ongoing colonial occupation has yet to be realised. Wherever we are on this continent, it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Will you come?
