POSTPONED DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER: Free BBQ + Local Flood Impacts Community Discussion @ Oxley

We invite you and your friends and family to a free BBQ and community discussion in Oxley, on Sunday 9 March from 3.30-6pm, at Nixon Park.

Join our conversation about the impacts of more frequent and severe storm and flooding impacts on our homes, loved ones, wildlife, and the environment, and what we can do about it - or just come along for a free snag and a relaxed afternoon.

There will be halal, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available, and a playground nearby for the young ones.

This is also an opportunity to meet your Greens Federal Candidates for Moreton, Remah Naji, and Oxley, Brandan Holt, who are excited to meet and hear from you.

We acknowledge the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples as the traditional custodians and rightful owners of the lands on which we gather. Sovereignty over this place has never been ceded, and restitution for historical and ongoing colonial occupation has yet to be realised. Wherever we are on this continent, it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
