The Last Dash! - Mega Day of Action to Elect Remah

We are entering the final 5-week sprint to get Remah across the line as the member for Moreton!

It's going to be a massive few weeks of campaigning - and we can only get through it together. That's why, on Saturday 5th April, we want to bring our whole volunteer team together, share our plans and sign you up to heaps of upcoming actions, and start taking action straight away.

At the Final Sprint Kickoff, there will be something for everyone to contribute - whether doorknocking, installing yard signs, letterboxing, postering, or being visible along a busy road with our shiny new Remah for Moreton coreflutes!

If you can, please come along for the whole day. Otherwise, sign up for just the Morning + Lunch session, or just the Lunch + Afternoon session.

🕘 When: Saturday 5th April, kicking of at 9.30am (or at 1pm if you can only come in the afternoon)

🏡 Where: Williams Park in Runcorn, just off Torana Street near the playground and shady trees

⁉️ What's happening:

9.30am - 1pm - First round of ACTION (doorknocking, yard sign install, letterboxing, postering, etc.)

1 - 2.30pm - Lunch + Our Plan for the 5-week sprint

2.30 - 6pm - Second round of ACTION

💥 Our Goal:

Take a whole day of action - with meaningful conversations and good visibility - to reach and persuade voters who feel let down by the major parties. These interactions matter.

-----------------

This election is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see a Palestinian woman elected to Federal parliament. If we can achieve the same swings again as the recent State election campaigns did within Moreton, Remah Naji will become the new member for Moreton, and the impact will be felt around the world and in Palestine.

Building community is central to our campaign, and being willing to visit someone at their front door and really listen to what matters to them is what sets us apart from the major parties. By doing this community outreach, we can invite people to a community gathering in their area, learn what issues matter to them, and even find our supporters and invite them to be part of the campaign.

Don’t worry if you’ve never campaigned before – we’ll provide training and pair you up with someone experienced! It's up to you how much you'd like to engage on the day, and you are welcome to tag along and just listen.

Remember to bring along a hat 🧢, water bottle 💧, and comfy shoes 👟!

We acknowledge the Yuggera and Turrbal peoples as the traditional custodians and rightful owners of the lands on which we gather. Sovereignty over this place has never been ceded, and restitution for historical and ongoing colonial occupation has yet to be realised. Wherever we are on this continent, it always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Will you come?
